Scotland and Bates is a local coach company with a longstanding reputation for service and reliability. We have been based in the small village of Appledore since 1945 and we are now pleased to offer day trips, short stays and holidays to our local community.

 Our organised trips include for example; theatre shows, visits to heritage sites, river boat tours and natural beauty spots. On our ‘luxury traveller’ trips you will board the coach at a convenient location and be met by a dedicated on-board tour manager. We will provide complimentary refreshments and snacks during both your outward and return journey. At your destination the tour manager will be available to assist you so that you can have a stress free and enjoyable experience.

All of our trips use a luxury, executive coach ensuring a comfortable journey, including a WC on board.

We can add any stops along this route for your convenience. If you do not live on our route but would still like to join us, please get in touch so that we can make arrangements for you. We also offer free, secure parking at our base in Appledore for those joining the coach there.
